Since joining MacKay LLP in 1998, Blaine has been involved in all areas of public practice, providing assurance, accounting, and tax services to a wide range of clients. In recent years his focus has narrowed to primarily privately held businesses and professionals, non-profit organizations, and First Nations enterprises. For the past several years, Blaine has also been performing the Chief Financial Officer duties for a Government Crown Corporation.
Professional Memberships and Education
Blaine grew up in Regina, SK, and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina in 1987. He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2002 and subsequently completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-Depth Tax program.
Volunteer Activities
Blaine currently volunteers as a hockey coach.
Extra-curricular Activities
Blaine is married with two children. In addition to serving as a volunteer hockey coach, Blaine spends his spare time fishing, snowmobiling, and playing golf.
